ON REFORMATION'S BLACK NATIVITY MEETS KWANZAA HOLIDAY EVENT OPERATIONS (DAY-TODAY) PLAN
Note: Below are our day-to-day plans for promotionally organizing Reformation Church-Chicago's holiday fundraising event headed: BLACK NATIVITY MEETS KWANZAA JAZZ VESPERS (A Holidays Are Forever Candlelight Celebration) occurring Saturday evening, December 26th and Sunday evening, December 27th, 2015.
Second Note: The event will feature the Christmas (Black Nativity) and Black History poetry of Langston Hughes accompanied by Reformation's Sacred Jazz Music Ministry. As special guests we are seeking to secure the appearance of Jazz vocalist, Ms. Nanette Frank. More, we are also seeking to secure the guest appearances of performing artists Ms. Val Gray Ward and Mr. Carl Muhammad to round out our program.
Note Three: The point of Reformation's holiday special event is to build moral, active, and financial support for our much needed ministry of congregational renewal.
5. Day-to-Day Outreach Linked to Tactical Promotion Below re: Reformation's Possible Cooperative Partners and Venue Options-See points 4-4.2E below-For Our Special Holiday Event Tactical Plan.
5.1 Option A) Contact: Chicago Peace Campaign and Chicago's Embassy Church, 5848 S. Princeton Avenue. Needed: Outreach to Minister Christopher Butler re: Possible Special Holiday Event Fundraising Collaboration and use of Chicago Embassy Church Sanctuary as a potential performance venue (See item 4 below).
5.1B Object: To gross $10K via selling 500 $20 tickets online, thru brownpapertickets.com, to benefit both Chicago Peace Campaign and Reformation Church-Chicago's revival campaign respectively.
5.2 Option B) Contact: Lutheran School of Theology Chicago (LSTC), 55th & University Avenue. Outreach: Rev. Dr. Harvard Stephens, LSTC Incoming Dean of Chapel and Community Minister, Rev. Albert Starr, Program Director, African Descent Ministries ELCA Church-Wide, and Rev. Darryl Powell, Program Associate, African Descent Ministries, Chicago-based.
5.2B Needed: Cooperation Re: LSTC Chapel venue access for Reformation's special holiday event (item 4 below).
5.2C Object: To gross $10K via selling 500 $20 tickets online, thru brownpapertickets.com, to benefit both a proposed African Descent Lutheran Agenda publication and Reformation Lutheran Church-Chicago's revival campaign respectively.
5.3 Option C) Outreach: Garfield Park Community Worship Center, 4100 W. Garfield Blvd, Rev. Stephen Roberts, Senior Pastor. Needed: GPCWC Sanctuary access for BLACK NATIVITY MEETS KWANZAA JAZZ VESPERS ETC. (envisioned as a collaborative between Reformation Church-Chicago's Revival Campaign and the Roberts Family's Living Image Publishing Company)
5.3B Object: To gross $10K via selling 500 $20 tickets online, thru brownpapertickkets.com, to benefit both Reformation Church Chicago Revival Campaign and Living Image Publishing respectively.
